Legal Action Filed Against Gaming Site Following Sachin Tendulkar Deepfake Warning

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has initiated legal action against a medical company for unauthorized use of his images in their promotional campaign. Upon discovering the infringement, Tendulkar decided to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the company. The FIR includes charges under sections 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), and 500 (defamation), along with violations of the Information Technology Act.The website,, utilized the face of the 2011 World Cup-winning cricketer to promote its products. Concurrently, the right-handed batsman is currently serving as a mentor for the Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL 2023. The team has displayed a commendable performance in the current season compared to their challenging run last year, securing seven victories out of 12 matches thus far. Despite their success, the team faced challenges in their recent encounter against the Gujarat Titans. After setting a formidable total of 218/5, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s inaugural IPL century, MI managed to restrict GT to 103/8. Although having an opportunity to conclude the game decisively and significantly enhance their Net Run Rate (NRR) from -0.255 to a positive figure, the defending champions fell short as Rashid Khan’s unbeaten fifty propelled GT to a total of 191/8.
